Central Florida Family Photographer
Now is the perfect time to schedule your family portraits. Get them done to update your wall art, or to get ahead of the Holiday season. As a Central Florida Family Photographer, I wanted to share some great locations to help you get some ideas and a great head start on booking your family portraits.
1.) The Beach
Lighthouse Pointe Park offers some great scenery and a lot of versatility. The neutral colors will go with almost anything in your wardrobe. and the best thing is the landscape. You can take photos by the mangroves or boardwalk, or walk a few steps to the beach and be right along the jetty. To top it off, it’s a dog-friendly park, so feel free to bring your furry friend!
2.) A field or Wooded Area
To give you a really romantic and rustic feel, try a field or wooded area. During certain times of the year, the colors in the field will be a little more muted, which will make everything softer and more delicate looking. Add in the pretty golden light as the sun is setting, and you’ve got yourself a beautiful backdrop! For a nice wooded location, check out Cracker Creek.
3.) Around Town
There are many beautiful, old, boutique streets around town. These locations will give you awesome backdrops and add great textures to your photos. Canal Street, in New Smyrna Beach, as well as Beach Street in Daytona, are some great starting points.
4.) The Garden or Park
Parks and gardens are always a gorgeous place to have your family portraits done; especially to add that little extra pop of color. Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is a great choice, but there are many others around the immediate area!
5.) Your Own Home
Sometimes, there is no place like the comfort of your own home, especially on a cold winter day! Stay indoors and cozy up with your family for a portrait session in your home. You can also venture out into your backyard as the sun is setting for an awesome backdrop!
