Lake Mary Event Center Wedding | Melissa + Luis

They say love is patient and kind, and when we arrived at the Lake Mary Event Center Wedding it seemed that patience was exactly what the day called for! The weather outside was gloomy, rain and wind whipped against the windows while everyone nervously set up the ceremony site. Melissa and her girls were getting ready and, it’s funny now but wasn’t funny in the moment, the girls realized they forgot to bring THE DRESS! Although, if you take a look below you will see that everything turned out perfectly! The weather cleared up just before the ceremony, the sun was shining and allowed us the ever sought after perfect light for portraits following the wedding. One of my favorite things about Melissa and Luis was their radiant love for each other. Every time he made eye contact with his new bride he was beaming from ear to ear. That’s how you know you’re in the presence of true love! Everything about their wedding had a very classic feel with a modern touch. In place of the black/white/red classic combo, Melissa traded red for bright fuchsia! This could be found in her shoes, chairs, the groomsmen’s ties and their cute mustache socks! There were striking tall ivory centerpieces with strings of pearls hanging from them, and a single rose planted underneath each one. The reception was a blast and everyone had a great time dancing, even Luis who seemed a little shy got out on the floor and showed us some of his moves, one of which was one of the best garter retrieval we’ve ever seen! As the night was coming to a close, the guests lined up to blow bubbles for Melissa and Luis’ grand exit.
