Blended Wedding
Congrats to Jenna and Nick who had a blended wedding at the Estate on the Halifax in Port Orange! Their wedding day consisted of some really neat multi-traditional parts including a first look, a Ketubah ceremony, which is a tradition in Jewish weddings, the jumping of the broom, which symbolizes new beginnings and the sweeping away of the past in African American culture, the breaking of the glass, which is common in Jewish wedding ceremonies and signifies the finality of the marriage, and the Haka was done at the reception, which is a Hawaiian dance and originally performed by warriors before battle. At weddings, it is a sign of respect and a “fierce display of a tribe’s pride, strength, and unity,” and can be done to make a milestone in one’s life. After their ceremony, Jenna and Nick even had a non traditional cocktail hour. They had the Butt Hut Smokehouse Food Truck, and it had some super delicious food! Take a peek at Jenna and Nick’s blended multi-traditional wedding, and don’t forget to leave them some love and well wishes in the comments section below. Thanks for looking!
