I want to say congrats to Amanda and Kirk – This marks March 2011 to be a busy season for sure.

I began speaking to Amanda via email about a month ago and was giving information about photography services, information and so on. We were to set up a meeting but had a bridal show coming up August 1st 2010 and decided to meet up there. It was hard to hear names, but I remember Kirk Coming up to me after the rush came through and was thoroughly asking questions. I really appreciate the questions so much because you can’t stress enough on how your photos are  of importance not only to me, but to you.

I am excited to work with them because they are both fun, personable and know what they want. I will be looking forward to the engagement session here in the next few months. When you are looking for a photographer, ask them the five basic questions. I’ve answered after the A

Congrats to the newlyweds here in New Smyrna Beach- What a beautiful Beach Ceremony!

Well Maureen and Tim, it is your big day! I was pleased to meet Tim walking towards the beach, He was so happy and smiling, said “I’m the groom” I thought of the day I got married and said wow, I’m going to get married’ when you don’t expect something in life it really makes it special. Not that I ever didn’t think I’d get married, but rather, Meeting Tim, all the way from St. Louis, Missouri. They fortunately found me, and once again that day

Paradise Beach Weddings

Beautiful Beach Wedding

We got everything set up, and began taking family photos before hand, yeah, a combo, Wedding/Family session. But then jumped right into the Ceremony. I had a fun time moving quietly about the guests to get the best shots. Everyone had surrounded in as it normally does to hear, and be close. The Vows, the kiss, the walk to the beach to release the wishing shells. Perfect. There was even a little contest to throw it either the highest or farthest.

New Smyrna Beach Ceremony being Performed

They had a cute, fun filled family/friends gathering after the ceremony, where a group took place in a rapid fire beer pong. They all had a lot of fun! That’s what it’s about.. Fun, memories, and enjoying the night! Here’s some photos.

A night to remember!

Congrats to Karlie and Cameron. I loved the sense of stress free, they had an amazing time at Washington Oaks and Palm Coast Yacht Club.

I had a fun memorable time with Karie in the beginning, while makeup and getting ready was happening I was shooting the photos, of the little details. It was a quick 2 hours before the time to head out, but there were some fun shots. I left around 2:45 to meet  up with Cameron, but he had to get an early start toward the Oaks. So we headed over to get a few fun shots with the groomsmen and grooms maids, We had a fun photoshoot before the ceremony.

The after photos are AMAZING. Even though it was a hot one, I switched out shirts from my normal black, then started getting in the dirty to get some beautiful scene shots for them.

The reception was a blast, Pyramid was mixing it up and providing entertainment to Joel, He was clearly the center of the attention!

Welcome Kate and Jim – Wonderful Meeting with Kate and Maggie today.

Complements from Rich and Michelle for the wonderful referral! I can’t thank them enough. I’ll be with Kate and Jim in December for their beautiful wedding and reception at the Anderson Price in Ormond. With the Ceremony being next door at the church. I plan on a fun filled night with them. We spoke about some minor details of shots and, I got to show them a quick preview of Cameron and Karlies Wedding from last night in Flagler.

Wedding | Mark Dickinson Photography Ormond Beach

I can’t wait to get back to The Anderson, its a fun place and offers a plantation like feeling! RPS Catering will be putting some wonderful food together as usual!

Rack Room Shoes Grand Opening Corporate and Business photos.

A big thanks to Rack Room Shoes at the Pavilion at Port Orange. The students got a chance to see how retail works, ordering, and be part of the experience. It was nice and they were so very well with understanding and patience. I think it made a wonderful experience.

If you didn’t know my corporate side of the fence has been featured in a lot of different outlets. SOME you may have overlooked. Driven down I95 lately? There’s a family running on the beach, and then in South Florida there’s a family photoshoot that turned bilboard for an attorney in that area!:) It’s soo cool to see that post up. But a quickie, for corporate events, functions advertising and business related work.. WE DO THAT.

Welcome Pamela and Michael! Up for a beautiful wedding at Wilbur Boathouse.

If you haven’t been to www.wilburboathouseweddings.com I have a quick site featuring the business and it’s beautiful location. Pamela and Michael were referred by Carland and Bill. THANK YOU!:) I am honored to be part of the wedding, celebration and fun filled day. Theirs is on a special day to a lot, 10-10-10. It will be exciting to see their wonderful photos turn out.

We had a meeting with Pamela the other day, She was peppy and eager to provide input on what she wanted. Im really happy for them and as always the Daytona Beach area offers so many hidden gems for weddings, receptions and other photos.

Welcome Carrie Wright and Family! October 14th for Family Photos

Family Photos are fun and enjoyable memory makers. I typically don’t do all “traditional “ styling and blend it with what you see on billboards, magazine shoots, and post cards. Family Phoots like those at department stores don’t give you the flexibility that you would have in the field with a custom photographer. The department stores have to follow policies and prints are expensive.
Check back for some more photos when their date comes. Here’s my last set of family pics in the beautiful beach of Ponce Inlet!

Family shoots start out at 150.00 You can find the price list here!:)Familyrates

Welcome Marlaina and Craig, May 2011.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen them, as you may have seen in earlier posts this is often too frequent, which is a good thing. I get to connect to friends from middle school and earlier. I know times have changed, but it seems very well that the general feeling of friendship hasn’t. The Ceremony is to be at South Daytona Christian Church, and a reception to follow. They both had some interesting questions to be answered upon the meeting. I am honored to be able to capture their Engagement photos here in Daytona Beach, and as well their wedding, and reception. They found me after seeing Corrine and Tj’s wedding photos here in Port Orange. Their wedding was at the Riverside Pavilion.

Enjoying a nice time!

Congrats you two!

Lindsay Rachael Events had a second meeting with Marlaina and her brides maid a few days after to secure some wedding planning details. For booking she both of us, she got a 50.00 discount, which defiantly helps out! I can’t wait! May is almost filled up and I don’t have much available, If you are reading this and interested, get a hold of me!

Congrats to Louise and Jason | My newest client, from New York

I spoke with Louise the other day about her wedding details, she had LOTS of question, which I really enjoyed answering. It’s never too often to have questions like these. Here’s a few from the correspondence in email. Always be sure to ask questions like this because it is very important! I put my replies in the email back but here’s what they are!:)

“Excellent!  I am very interested in having you be the photographer for my wedding on Sunday, July 3, 2011.  I have a few questions:

1) What deposit do I need to book you? 300.00 retainer/dep

2) How does payment work with you (ie how much is due when)? 300/50/50, 50% due two weeks before wedding, final on proof period of the photos

3) What photographer would be doing my wedding? I will be doing you wedding (Mark Dickinson)

4) I was interested in having you take pictures of me getting ready, the ceremony and reception.  These events take place in 3 different locations.  Are there any additional fees to travel between the sites? There is no charge unless they are very far apart over 20 miles or more

5) What type of camera do you use? Do you have a back up in case of equipment failure? I use 2 Nikon d700’s, and carry back up camera with me. I usually replace at least 1 camera each year due to use.

6) What do you typically wear to a wedding? I wear business attire, but not a tux, for instance long sleve shirt, and tie. I usually am up and down on the ground doing some shots so I dont do full tux etc.

I really knew she had an idea in mind for someone who is professional. I am excited to be working with Louise and Jason in the upcoming wedding! If you have questions like this, please feel free to email me. You’d be surprised on the emails I get. Even though I know they are not serious about their selection of a photographer, I still reply as professional as those who do give a little more detail than this:

“Name : —–  ———-
Address : ————————-
Email : adfadf.com
Phone : 386
Date of Event : not sure
Your Message : How much?

Date/Time:  06/3/2010 12:34:27
I really didn’t know how to respond, but did so accordingly asking for what type of shoot, what date, how long, when where why and how. Needless to say. I have yet to hear back from them. No matter who you are using for a photographer, vendor, venue etc. Give them a little more information than just an email that looks like you have no care for the most important part of your day.

Jenna and Ryan got married!

This past weekend was the special day for Jenna and Ryan. I had met up with them on what had to be the coldest day this past winter for their engagement pictures. Even though we were all shivering and freezing we had a great time though!

The wedding day was perfect! No rain, just lots of fun! Jenna wanted every moment captured, which started at Bei Cappeli Salon, getting her hair done. We then headed to the Hilton to get pictures of Jenna and her bridesmaids and Ryan and his men.

The Ceremony and reception took place at St. Demetrios. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was decorated so nice with all of the peacock theme elements. During the reception, I was able to steal Jenna and Ryan away for a couple moments to capture pictures of them with the fireworks from the Main Street Pier. An amazing ending for a great couple!

Feels like family- When you build a very nice working relationship with a fun and special family it really feels nice.

It all started in November of 2008, I got an email that said,

Message: We just looked at some of your sample photos and are interseted in talking to you about our wedding on April 18th 2009 at 5 pm in Ponce Inlet. Please check your schedule and then contact me. Thanks Tom. I replied back, met with them and I remember them coming up on the bike late at night after being out. I took a pic of their hands just for showing the bounce lighting

Tom and Katie’s engagement ring

They had a beautiful wedding. I was so glad to work with them. I remember Joy and Amy dragging me off that  day taking pics at the Wilbur Boathouse. We then got together again after for a family photos in the venetian bay park.  I just can’t believe 2 years have already gone by. When Joy emailed me about her and Tyson, I was excited to hear. Our paths crossed before that tho, as I was sending out information to purchase a new car, coincidentally he received my emails. When meeting with him, I noticed his genuine sense of kindness. It was really easy to talk to him about details about photos, he sat next to joy and really had a strong part in the conversation. We were able to work everything out and having a great conversation and holding their date. I posted this post earlier about the booking.

Here’s a quick sneak peek! Gallery to be finished up here soon!

I really felt honored to be able to do their families work, and it was a even more when I was able to do theirs! I can’t thank them enough to let me be apart of this special day. I remembered how spastic everyone was when I called for directions into the condo, it seemed like they were going a hundred miles an hour. When I had arrived the clouds got darker, and Joy asked someone if it was going to rain. I said to her, yeah it’s going to rain somewhere today. She was really worried about the rain, so I did a little GO AWAY RAIN shot below

Let me just say. It worked!

Justin and Jacinda! I wanted to say thank you, and congrats! I had such an easy time with photos for such a beautiful place!

Friday was a day full of fast moving thunderstorms. But they were looking out for the ceremony. It went off just perfect, storms ended around 6pm and it was a beautiful day! I started with photos from inside the house and worked my way to the setup to capture their beautiful colors.  Orange and Tropical Colors were really perfect for this place. What is the place? www.paradisecove.com. Soon you will see all my work from there on http://paradisecoveweddings.com/ NOT JUST YET THO!:) Until then here’s the wedding hi-lited!

Congrats you guys! I was so glad to be part of your special day! Thank you again!

Congrats to Chelsey and Ryan! What a fun Shores wedding with Reception on the top of the world!

This past Saturday, May 29th was Chelsey and Ryan’s wedding day! About a month ago I had the pleasure of doing bridal portraits with Chelsey inside the studio. We had a great time and the pictures turned out great, showing her personality. She chose one of the pictures to display at the reception.

I arrived early that morning, around 9am to catch all of the getting ready and details. The ceremony took place at noon outside on the deck of the Shores Resort overlooking the beach. Wiley Lowe officiated the beautiful ceremony. The blue bridesmaid dresses accented well with the beach and the various types and colors of flowers in the bouquets.

Mister DJ provided the music and got everyone on the dance floor! We were able to sneak away and go down on the beach and get a few pictures of the new Mr. and Mrs. and the bridal party. I love shooting weddings at the Shores Resort-the outside ceremony area is beautiful along with the rooms, banquet room and surrounding areas of the pool, and of course the beach.
I’m so happy I was able to capture all of the special moments of this cute, young couple!

The Peninsula Club was a beautiful setting for a Ceremony

Adam and Regina’s wedding was such great fun! Lindsay and Brandon were able to capture their day as I was at Chelsey and Ryan’s wedding. I was able to join them during the reception.

The ceremony took place at United Brethren in Port Orange. You could definitely sense the love, close family and even laughter among everyone.
Reception followed at the Peninsula Club which was beautifully decorated with lavender and yellow and daisies everywhere! So glad I was able to share the day with Adam and Regina. Everyone was having a blast dancing the night away! Congrats Adam and Regina! Best wishes to you and your family!

The Party didn’t stop all night!

Ryan Gerber – Very thoughtfully planned engagement

I still am amazed to be part of this, part of their special moment and capturing it the same!

I’m on my way down to the key’s right now, thinking about photos jamming to music and making the mood plan out in my head. Yeah sometimes that’s all it takes. But i’ve got a pretty once in a moment shoot ahead of me where I will have the raw emotion to capture during this priceless time. I don’t think I have ever received an inquiry about doing the engagement capture. I guess the guy proposing has enough on his mind. So tomorrow I will make this extra special for them. Ryan and his fiance have been dating for over 5 years. I have a little familiarity in this because it took me about that long to work up the nerve. The weather is pretty white fluffy clouds, hot sun, I’m hoping that it stays that way when we’re shooting, if not. I’ve got water resistant equipment, lets improvise! Want to surprise your fiance with a shoot like this? Out of area is a little more expensive, but we can travel to NYC, Atlanta, or any other major city. Why hire someone to travel with you? It’s the familiarity, the access ability of someone close in your area. These moments are priceless and you really don’t want to leave it to someone you don’t trust.

While we’re down here we’ll have a little bit of some fun. We’re staying at the Albury Court (semi bed breakfast). It’s beautiful there, easily located, and we frequent the area so its a hookup!:) ranges from 140-250 night so check it out if you ever get a chance!

Ryan called about 3 weeks ago and inquired about getting photos done down in key west. Then he wen’t into how he is going to propose to his girlfriend. He’d been tricking her by continuing the shopping for a ring even though he had one picked out. We had a 30 minute conference over the phone and decided to scout out some areas. Using google earth and his ideas we located the best location, Fort Zachary Taylor Park in the Key West naval District. I went the day before to rehearse the location with lindsay. And the next day, right on cue at 703 I noticed a white convertible, two people getting out and looking around. I started snapping shots when they arrived and got out of the car. They only indicator that I was there was parking the car in reverse so he could see where the entrance was. I was hidden in the seagrapes and shooting in. He walked down the path then headed west toward the sun setting at the end of the rocks. I was sitting with random people talking to them to get cover incase she looked back. People loved it and were watching too since they had an inside scoop. The 10 minute slideshow began to play as he stopped at the set of rocks. From there Perry kneeled and started to watch the slideshow. She knew about 1/2 way through something was up and Ryan said he noticed some shaking. The slideshow ended with an empty ring box and I noticed Ryan shimmying the box up from his pocket and started down on a knee, Perry’s knees bent as if she was gonna jump but put her hand out and he slipped it on. She gave him a kiss and then the jump came, right up onto him wrapping her legs around him squeezing him and you could easily see the excitement and joy in both!

Congrats to Lauren Steven Tiki and Bossy! A beautiful wedding at Brookstone, Derry NH

It’s alway’s an extreme complement, and good feeling when someone says they want you to be their photographer no matter what. Especially when their wedding is over 1200 miles away. May 20th 2011 and we just got the final details down, she booked the Brookstone for the venue. I am anticipating some very unique and beautiful shots during this time. Lauren has been really fun to talk to on the phone and through email. Lauren and Steven are both lucky to have each other, both have such fun personalities in their photos, thats always a plus. They will have two photographers  and all 4 cameras in use, Im sure there will be tons of photos.

I don’t think this could have been possible without Adam and Tiffany. Adam had some really thoughtful and amazing recommendations to his cousin. I was so thankful when I heard.  Tiffany is amazing and Adam as well, their whole family was very welcoming and fun to work with on their big day. My first, first photos of the new year!

Check out Steven, Lauren and their fam! Sooo cute!

AWWW! THAT’S ALL I can say!

Tiffany and Justin’s meeting at Tavern and Chapel in the Garden

I always enjoy good meetings, An hour and a half of good conversation, questions and a start to some beautiful photos for their October Wedding in 2011. It’s official, the last saturday for October is officially taken The Tavern’s office was the location and It was nice to speak to katie before hand, I can’t tell you how much their garden area offers SO many opportunities for photos. With all the weddings I’ve done at the location, I really don’t think I have captured the entire grounds beautiful locations it has to offer. Each time I work with any of the staff at Tavern, they are courteous and professional and get the task done. I am excited to have another wedding here in the upcoming months. Tiffany and Justin will have an engagement session as well The location is yet to be determined.

Checkout my other posts for photos in the garden.

Congrats to Nancy and Robert | Tavern and Chapel in the Garden Gazebo wedding

As many wedding come in for the wedding season, I think each one is special in a photography kind of way. Trying to make the most unique shots out of everyones different personalities comes with a challenge sometimes. But I really enjoy the variety of the
Tavern with many places to do photos and create those fun moments.

I enjoyed the swing shots here to create some fun and playful childhood fun with the swing:P) take a look- have questions please contact the wonderful friends at the tavern and chapel www.tavernandchapel.com Congrats to you and your family! I appreciated the honor to be part of it!!

Welcome Joy and Tyson Upcoming June Wedding in New Smyrna at The Venetian Bay Town Center. (or is it port orange):)

Today was a ‘go over’ with Joy and Tyson for their wedding details. We made things happen for the cute couple. It proves to be how small of a world it is when you actually start to realize how many connections everyone in this world has with everyone around. Anyhow, its a nice pleasure to be able to work with them. They are expecting a little one here shortly too!:)

It will be a fun filled day at the Venetian Bay Town Center. I’ve done many photos there, from family, Business and just individual shots, it will be a nice adventure for a wedding!

Congrats to Corinne and TJ this pas week! Wedding: St. Paul Catholic Church | Reception Riverside Pavilion

It’ had been about 15 year since I last saw Corrine, then I searched friends out on facebook. We connected again, and she informed me she was getting married. We talked on the phone for about 30-40 minutes catching up on the distance. Well we did their engagement photos at the O-dome, in Gainsville, FL. The pics came out fun. Now to the wedding!:) I arrived at St. Paul that afternoon at around 2PM, met with Corinne and the girls in the room they were getting ready in. I started with a few photos of the bridal party and created some neat shots with a vintage style treatment to the photos.

This was a beautiful wedding and reception at the Church on Beach Street. I couldn’t believe the beautiful details within the church and it really was breathtaking. I hope to return soon, as it was a very beautiful location as well. The reception was a very nice location as well, right on the same property. Very large and could accommodate well over 150.

Alison and I felt like we’d known each other for a very long time. I adore her awesome personality and style. She chose to change her style for the reception… so beautifully dramatic! She was so pretty and it was so wonderful to share in the excitement as she married her man :) .

I remember talking with JoBeth in the beginning when I arrived and Allison was getting ready. She is very professional, courtesy and she did some perfect work with the hair. Allison’s styling and touch of the white flower was very cute. But it all changed at the Reception, the hair was let down and the party started. JoBeth was there for the whole transition! She rocks!

Congrats to the newlyweds | Rich and Valerie! Ceremony and Reception at Riverside Pavilion

I met with Valerie a while back last year in 2009, we went over some ideas on photography and wedding details. I finally met Rich on the engagement shoot. It was that time, the engagement pics were a fun time in ponce with some unique, one of a kind sunset photos. But time goes by so fast, and the wedding was yesterday, Sunday April 18th 2010. The wedding was at riverside pavilion with the reception there also. Take a look at the pics below to see how we captured the special moments and beautiful locations!

Congrats to Scott and Nicole | Married at the Atlantic Center for the Arts

I wanted to thank everyone at the wedding last night for being fun, and energetic. I know the bugs were getting bad at some point, but the photos turned out amazing!

The ACA is a very hidden treasure, its beautiful to be in and the feeling when in the environment inside is very welcoming and unique. There are so many photo ops on the grounds that I just didn’t have time to get to them all. Take a look at some of the photos and you can see what I mean. I was shooting with the new camera today, and the flash system. The dancing and band were energetic all night take a look at the party shots. Making memories is what it’s all about!

2:04amDarren
oh it was ________Photography
2:04amMark
yeah, I have a couple that go to the 10k range, but its medium format
______ is usually good the owner does nice photos anyway.
They probably got a big album with theirs, that a lot of the cost
the same package that you guys have with the thick page album is 2900
2:05amDarren
yikes
2:06amMark
it’s crazy, tho people seem to be making and charging that left and right
2:06amDarren
is there a way when we have the wedding we could give your wife a list of the type of photos we really want?
2:06amMark
It’s useful, but there are so many pictures taken a full list actually hinders.
We usually get list that say, pictures of the rings, and hands, rings alone,
mom and dad together with us, wedding dress hanging, etc
and those are typical shots.
2:07amDarren
ok
2:07amMark
best ones to do are, “we want a photo carrying each other, or at a special location”
2:08amDarren
sounds good… I know there has to be one of my brother and his wife and one of my brother and me
2:09amMark
I get a lot of copy paste from blogs. I had a client who was adamant about doing the list and checking it off. I got an email later on saying, I see all the photos are on the list have been taken but are there any creative ones you normally do?
2:10amMark
It was a shot list of like 250 photos and took a ton of time up making sure each was checked
2:10amDarren
I’m all for anything to me you all know what you’re doing I know I just wanted ones like that
oh I’m not that picky
2:10amMark
I think you guys are having two photographers too
2:11amDarren
I think that’s what richal said
2:11amMark
but yes, the obscure photo requests are the ones to submit I haven’t had a photo list in about 5 months, and before that was about 1year. most of the shots I have in the albums are all standard.
Do you mind if I use this chat log for a blog entry?
2:12amDarren
not at all please fix my spelling

2:12amMark
will do.
do I delete ‘fix my spelling’ lol
2:12amDarren
nah I find it funny
2:13amMark
Yeah, I imagine that getting married there’s a lot of ideas that pop up, so feel free to take notes or little reminders because they are really good feedback

Stephanie checking over Trey's Ring

Congrats to Patrick and Virginia

I met with them this week on their trip down to Florida from Canada. While meeting we discussed some details on the photos. There were a couple special shots included a cute unique photo on a special golf hole at the reception area. They are getting married at Plantation Bay in Ormond Beach and we’ll be traveling to the beach for some cute photo opts on the beachside while the cocktail hour is in progress.

Having some fun

Check back for some pics of the cute couple! I can’t wait to work with them with the photos on their special day. Their wedding is April 2011!

Jacinda and Justin’s Engagement shoot was perfect we even got a few group shots in for family photos.

They are to be married in June at the Paradise Cove. The location is absolutely beautiful for any type of photos. Their wedding will be absolutely stunning. We were able to get the engagement photos captured yesterday! Take a look I am so happy to see their energy and excitement during the e-pics. I am sure it will transfer to some fun, creative wedding day photos!

The weather was perfect except for the bugs.. Millions of gnats. (note: It’s getting warm bring bug spray). Ok that being said, it still came out to be a fun filled shoot and lots of beautiful pictures. Here are some samples of the shoot!

Congrats to Rebecca and Guido – Spontaneous Wedding Photography does work!

Here’s the story, kinda funny! I received an email from Rebecca about 4 days before the wedding date requesting quotes. Since I have been doing work from a website for over 10 years, I get a lot of, “greetings, we are coming from UK to California, or Florida and want to retain your services” When you get these, usually they are looking to get your information, and no wedding is to be taking place. But Rebecca emailed me a quick email almost like that but enough to say hmm, is this real. However I called her back and left a voice mail. However Friday we sealed the sweet deal and got their photography services booked.

Their ceremony was a small private one in Ponce inlet, with mom, dad, Rebecca and Guido. Nonetheless the help from Lindsay Paid off being my ‘lighting technician’ and ‘Certified bag caddy’ (shes gonna kill me), Here are a little bit of their photos, and some of the fun we can have even doing brief, simple but elegant weddings for the to-be’s

Key West Family Photo shoot |Key West-FL

I met with Jenn and Kelly at the Casa Marina Hotel for their family photos. It is such a pretty hotel and very elegant. Meeting with them in the lobby was easy and a quick meeting before hand. Going over some details, shooting styles etc. We shot the photos in the lanai area walkway and on the beach. Some of the hammock shots are to live for! I really think these give a sense of the fun and photo-journalistic style intended!:)

All the teething was done, and the little one was ready to go!:) FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME! But patience pays off. Take a look. The photos were done at Memorial Gardens in Ormond Beach, FL. I did the photos (www.markdickinsonphotography.com) you can see a full res shot there!

Thank you for the opportunity to work with you! It was soooo fun!

Color and Black and white photos where the coloring is desaturated and only the flower or other colors are left

Opinions PLS!:) Whats your take on this photo I did? When I started photography “this” was the cool thing to do, color and black and white photos combined. Then I found it to be amateur. But im just not sure anymore? How do YOU like the color and black and white?!

Color and Black and White Photograph

Groom with color flowers and black and white background

I used to do this a lot because it was the ‘fad’ back in the day of first starting:) What do you think? SO yeah, if you are looking for a photographer who edits the photos in black and white and color. It’s easy and can be done!

Time line for your wedding – How to from weddings by lindsay

So many brides, grooms, mothers and even other wedding vendors ask me how their wedding day will flow. There is a “typical” timeline for a wedding reception. However, every couple is different and events can be rearranged to suit your personal style. One trend I am noticing is the cake cutting occuring almost immediately after dinner rather than during the last half of the reception. With every bride and groom I work with, I supply them and all of the vendors a timeline. The key to every reception and timeline is to be flexible. Your ceremony may not start precisely on time or toasts may take a little longer than you planned (especially when Aunt Mary gets started on the “she was such a sweet baby” stories). Don’t worry! You always recover time. Enjoy your wedding day…it goes by faster than you think.

Crickette gave a wonderful gift of photography to Melissa and Philip for their baby shower. I spoke with them on the phone about  a week ago to schedule the shoot. There was a great sense of fun and love when talking about the photos. I figured it to be a very fun, and beautiful shoot, which it turned out to be JUST that! Their little one  helped out in the photos, and also got a few herself kissing the belly:) Take a look. Maternity photos are very easy

It’s a beautiful day at Tavern and Chapel in the garden! Todd and Amy’s Photography.

When I arrived today, around 2:00pm, it was all in place to be a great day! Wedding decor was being hung, and the groom was getting in place. The weather was perfect. No rain, just clouds and nice temperatures. The ceremony was set for 3:00pm, and they were right on time. The reception was held at the Chart House in Daytona Beach outside. Some of the weather began to let loose at the end of the night but it didn’t stop the partying!

FINALLY~:) Christina and Patrick’s E-pics are here. With their wedding in April around the corner, its perfect timing!

Meeting with them was not too long ago, time creeps up quick but. I remember Patrick stopped by to drop off the paperwork, but had to go to practice after. Dedicated, he had to stick to 5pm as the max for band practice. These two are so fun and most of these shots were unscripted and natural. You can see the love!

Key West – What a beautiful place! It’s even better when I get to shoot photos there

This month, I will be heading to Key West to be the lucky one to capture Kelly and Jenn’s Photos on their vacation. It should be a fun filled day, great photos, with a beautiful location. We’ll be staying at the Albury Court Hotel. It looks amazing and should be a quick worcation. I can’t wait. Let’s see what the beautiful sunset shots bring! If you are going to be in that area during March 30th, let me know!:)

What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL Sunset – Nothing beats this photo shoot!

The day was specifically chosen, with a full moon, low tide, and sunset at the location capable of capturing this East West beach scene here in Volusia County. There is only about 4 times this year this location is actually able to be a go for these silhouette style shots. Valerie and Rich came to the shoot a little skeptical since I told them the wind was blowing kind of strong that morning. I was surprised myself when I arrived to see it was absolutely calm and there wasn’t a spec of cloud in the sky.  If you like this spot, want this for your photos. Email me, and I can get you booked in the next available day that the conditions will be right!

Valerie and Rich are getting married next month in April and The E-pics are all finished up and ready for their use on the wedding for a signing photo or favors.
