Hurricane Harvey Ruined a Wedding Album 🙁

I’ve been watching the news for Hurricane Harvey, and now Irma. I didn’t know anyone that I knew of from the Houston area. Then this morning I received a message about Harvey damage. Jennifer and Jacob Got married here in Florida but ended up finding their home in Texas.  You can see their beautiful wedding blog here. Well,

They’ve been married nearly 2 years now! We’ve been friends on facebook since and I have got to see their family grow.  If you’re not familiar with what is going on, there was a strong hurricane that hit Houston. However, Baytown where they live.

Baytown is on Galveston Bay and just to the west of Houston. It’s the equivalent of saying you live in Orlando if you live just outside of the larger city. I saw the photos and without a doubt recognized what it was.I hope for a quick and fast recovery for all those in We were at a Coldplay concert on Monday of last week and Coldplay wrote up a song for Texas, (see below).

I am making efforts to get a trailer and truck for a quick trip to Texas if scheduling permits. I remember when we went through 3 hurricanes back to back we lost power for weeks and everyone was emptying the shelves of water and non-perishable items since power was not to be restored anytime soon. If you do have any reliable donation outlets please leave them in the comments. We’d love to be able to help where we can.

Where is Baytown?

Baytown lies just along the coast and was hit pretty hard along with the rest of the area.  This morning (Sept 3rd) I received a message showing a lot of familiar photos laid out. Then a message popped through from Jennifer telling me that they lost some items and one of those was the wedding album.  Once photos get wet, they’re pretty much gone there’s no drying them out. I let her know that insurance should cover a replacement for it, but then a message came across saying she doesn’t have flood insurance since they’re not even in a flood zone. As you can see from the photo below they’re doing like I did when the flood hit our house. The garage and all of the contents within were damaged. It’s heartbreaking to see all the damage that everyone is going through and by all means, I realize that this very important to them. Thankfully we keep our album files on our servers! That means we can get them a replacement out. When we left for the last hurricane, I didn’t take our wedding album or other photos on the walls since I have replacements available. We work with a great album company, WHCC, So I am going to reach out to them to see if we can get a replacement as soon as possible.
