On Saturday afternoon we arrived to a beautiful bride to be and her lovely bridesmaids. We started with photos of hair and makeup and detailed shots of the dress. From there we drove to the church so that Monika could get ready. Her nerves were shaking, but her friends and family kept her calm and made her laugh.

The groom and the groomsmen arrived and looked just as stunning as ever in their tuxes. Ready for the big day, they were easy to work with while we got photos of them before the ceremony. Inside the church the bridal party enters and then all rise for the bride. As Monika approached the alter, tears of joy ran down her face. The beautiful couple exchanged their vows as they held each other’s hand. They lit a unity candle as a symbol of their two lives joining as one. After the guests left the church, Monika and Mike ran out the door and the guest threw heart shaped bird seed in the air.

The bridal party portraits were taken on Beach Street in Daytona. A cute little park with bridges, ducks, and rows of cat-tails. We had a blast running down the street, laying in the grass, and chasing ducks!

The reception took place at the beautiful Peninsula Club in Daytona Beach. The couple entered into the first dance, and then toasts and prayer were said. Two of Monika’s bridesmaids serenaded her with beautiful songs. And even the ring bearer gave a mighty fine little toast.

After dinner was served there was the father daughter dance, the bouquet and garter toss, and the cutting of the cake. The night ended with a packed dance floor! Drinks were served, the music was good, and everyone was having a blast.

A beautiful intimate ceremony and reception at the Tavern and Chapel in the Garden | Central Florida Wedding Photographer in Port Orange

The details of the wedding was so cute, so intimate and fun. Heather was getting ready when I arrived with hair and makeup just getting started. The tavern and chapel in the garden offers such a beautiful shoot for photography. Deep colors to match the fall time wedding. Heather was up in the master bedroom and I started shooting the details of the wedding, their cake was being delivered by Pasty Studio and things were beginning to take shape. The chairs and ceremony at the gazebo were set. The tables for their open air reception were being placed. I met with mark as he arrived and shook his hand..his brothers hand actually. Not knowing he had a twin brother, it gave me a laugh. We started a few shots of him putting his jacket on and in the snow white cottage with the groomsman/bestman CUTE! The brides portraits before were so fun, doing the details of her dress, jewelry, flowers and shoes is always a beautiful capture!

The ceremony was about to begin and you could see the anticipation in Mark’s face as it started. His expression was so full of a smile. As the ceremony began the bridesmaid walked down the path from the cottage. As Heather emerged you could see the smile tighten up and get bigger. Mark got his first glimpse and it was beautiful. It was a beautiful exchange of vows and they definitely showed their love for each other.Their kiss sealed the deal and it was official! Wiley, the minister made the send off complete and had made this couple married. On to the photos after…

It was a bit late for photos but that made the lighting in the port orange sky just that much more beautiful. The sun had already set and we shot the photos on the back side of the Agatha’s Cottage (front side to riverside drive).The reception was being finalized with the meals being prepped during cocktail hour and finishing up with photos a little earlier let the night begin! Dancing fun, family! It’s what it’s all about! DJ Man Joe rocked the house that night!

Congrats to Mark and Heather and the family! It was a wonderful time to be with you on your day!

Feels like family- When you build a very nice working relationship with a fun and special family it really feels nice.

It all started in November of 2008, I got an email that said,

Message: We just looked at some of your sample photos and are interseted in talking to you about our wedding on April 18th 2009 at 5 pm in Ponce Inlet. Please check your schedule and then contact me. Thanks Tom. I replied back, met with them and I remember them coming up on the bike late at night after being out. I took a pic of their hands just for showing the bounce lighting

They had a beautiful wedding. I was so glad to work with them. I remember Joy and Amy dragging me off that day taking pics at the Wilbur Boathouse. We then got together again after for a family photos in the venetian bay park. I just can’t believe 2 years have already gone by. When Joy emailed me about her and Tyson, I was excited to hear. Our paths crossed before that tho, as I was sending out information to purchase a new car, coincidentally he received my emails. When meeting with him, I noticed his genuine sense of kindness. It was really easy to talk to him about details about photos, he sat next to joy and really had a strong part in the conversation. We were able to work everything out and having a great conversation and holding their date. I posted this post earlier about the booking.

I really felt honored to be able to do their families work, and it was a even more when I was able to do theirs! I can’t thank them enough to let me be apart of this special day. I remembered how spastic everyone was when I called for directions into the condo, it seemed like they were going a hundred miles an hour. When I had arrived the clouds got darker, and Joy asked someone if it was going to rain. I said to her, yeah it’s going to rain somewhere today. She was really worried about the rain, so I did a little GO AWAY RAIN shot below

Let me just say. It worked!

I wanted to thank everyone at the wedding last night for being fun, and energetic. I know the bugs were getting bad at some point, but the photos turned out amazing!

The ACA is a very hidden treasure, its beautiful to be in and the feeling when in the environment inside is very welcoming and unique. There are so many photo ops on the grounds that I just didn’t have time to get to them all. Take a look at some of the photos and you can see what I mean. I was shooting with the new camera today, and the flash system. The dancing and band were energetic all night take a look at the party shots. Making memories is what it’s all about!

I met with Abbie and Chris in January, for their wedding today, March 20th 2010. They were exited as was I about the wedding details at the shores and riverside pavilion location. We wen’t over the paperwork and sample work and I think they got a good clear understanding of how everything worked. Today is the day! I can’ t wait, I will be a fun filled night. When I arrived today, around 2:00pm, it was all in place to be a great day! Wedding decor was being hung, and the groom was getting in place. The weather was perfect. No rain, just clouds and nice temperatures. The ceremony was set for 3:00pm, and they were right on time. The reception was held at the Chart House in Daytona Beach outside. Some of the weather began to let loose at the end of the night but it didn’t stop the partying!
