A beautiful intimate ceremony and reception at the Tavern and Chapel in the Garden | Central Florida Wedding Photographer in Port Orange

The details of the wedding was so cute, so intimate and fun. Heather was getting ready when I arrived with hair and makeup just getting started. The tavern and chapel in the garden offers such a beautiful shoot for photography. Deep colors to match the fall time wedding. Heather was up in the master bedroom and I started shooting the details of the wedding, their cake was being delivered by Pasty Studio and things were beginning to take shape. The chairs and ceremony at the gazebo were set. The tables for their open air reception were being placed. I met with mark as he arrived and shook his hand..his brothers hand actually. Not knowing he had a twin brother, it gave me a laugh. We started a few shots of him putting his jacket on and in the snow white cottage with the groomsman/bestman CUTE! The brides portraits before were so fun, doing the details of her dress, jewelry, flowers and shoes is always a beautiful capture!

The ceremony was about to begin and you could see the anticipation in Mark’s face as it started. His expression was so full of a smile. As the ceremony began the bridesmaid walked down the path from the cottage. As Heather emerged you could see the smile tighten up and get bigger. Mark got his first glimpse and it was beautiful. It was a beautiful exchange of vows and they definitely showed their love for each other.Their kiss sealed the deal and it was official! Wiley, the minister made the send off complete and had made this couple married. On to the photos after…

It was a bit late for photos but that made the lighting in the port orange sky just that much more beautiful. The sun had already set and we shot the photos on the back side of the Agatha’s Cottage (front side to riverside drive).The reception was being finalized with the meals being prepped during cocktail hour and finishing up with photos a little earlier let the night begin! Dancing fun, family! It’s what it’s all about! DJ Man Joe rocked the house that night!

It’s been a while since I added a blog post, it really is difficult to get back here and write. However, this weekend, Daniella Koontz Photography and I found a gem location to shoot. When I get the underwater camera housing next week we will hit it up. Central Florida is a Fun place to shoot, but sometimes you have to venture out elsewhere to find what you need. I have a shoot scheduled in the North Carolina area in Brevard where I’ll be utilizing some waterfalls as the backdrop. I Got to hurry tho, it was 68 degrees so I know cold weather is coming quickly. But since shooting here in Daytona Beach for the last 10 years, It is hard to compete with Orlando since there are so many photographers in the area. I generally like to be involved with the community and help out when I can. I realize that I have helped a few families collect the memories by not charging an arm and a leg for the photography services. I have been saddened that I haven’t started with CLS, Creative Lighting systems before this month. But we are offering a new shoot setup with Creative Lighting Systems for those who understand photographs are important to them. Just yesterday we set out on a trek and got what we wanted. Perfection with a location, temperature, and green foliage still very colorful. The shot here, titled the girl in the red dress, Was shot with the creative lighting system, two light setup, polarizer, and prime lens, 50mm.

However, the shot really made me smile. I didn’t use photoshop on this, a little post processing with other software, but nothing destructive. We will be offering trash the dress shoots here at this location. The trash the dress shoot will include underwater photography, CLS, and full frame shooting. The price? Priceless. These memories will be locked in time. Beautiful for submission to any magazine, or even just for a nice canvas on the wall! It all started in November of 2008, I got an email that said,

Message: We just looked at some of your sample photos and are interseted in talking to you about our wedding on April 18th 2009 at 5 pm in Ponce Inlet. Please check your schedule and then contact me. Thanks Tom. I replied back, met with them and I remember them coming up on the bike late at night after being out. I took a pic of their hands just for showing the bounce lighting

They had a beautiful wedding. I was so glad to work with them. I remember Joy and Amy dragging me off that day taking pics at the Wilbur Boathouse. We then got together again after for a family photos in the venetian bay park. I just can’t believe 2 years have already gone by. When Joy emailed me about her and Tyson, I was excited to hear. Our paths crossed before that tho, as I was sending out information to purchase a new car, coincidentally he received my emails. When meeting with him, I noticed his genuine sense of kindness. It was really easy to talk to him about details about photos, he sat next to joy and really had a strong part in the conversation. We were able to work everything out and having a great conversation and holding their date. I posted this post earlier about the booking.

I really felt honored to be able to do their families work, and it was a even more when I was able to do theirs! I can’t thank them enough to let me be apart of this special day. I remembered how spastic everyone was when I called for directions into the condo, it seemed like they were going a hundred miles an hour. When I had arrived the clouds got darker, and Joy asked someone if it was going to rain. I said to her, yeah it’s going to rain somewhere today. She was really worried about the rain, so I did a little GO AWAY RAIN shot below

Let me just say. It worked!

I always enjoy good meetings, An hour and a half of good conversation, questions and a start to some beautiful photos for their October Wedding in 2011. It’s official, the last saturday for October is officially taken The Tavern’s office was the location and It was nice to speak to katie before hand, I can’t tell you how much their garden area offers SO many opportunities for photos. With all the weddings I’ve done at the location, I really don’t think I have captured the entire grounds beautiful locations it has to offer. Each time I work with any of the staff at Tavern, they are courteous and professional and get the task done. I am excited to have another wedding here in the upcoming months. Tiffany and Justin will have an engagement session as well The location is yet to be determined.

I remember talking with JoBeth in the beginning when I arrived and Allison was getting ready. She is very professional, courtesy and she did some perfect work with the hair. Allison’s styling and touch of the white flower was very cute. But it all changed at the Reception, the hair was let down and the party started. JoBeth was there for the whole transition! She rocks!

I met with them this week on their trip down to Florida from Canada. While meeting we discussed some details on the photos. There were a couple special shots included a cute unique photo on a special golf hole at the reception area. They are getting married at Plantation Bay in Ormond Beach and we’ll be traveling to the beach for some cute photo opts on the beachside while the cocktail hour is in progress.

Check back for some pics of the cute couple! I can’t wait to work with them with the photos on their special day. Their wedding is April 2011!

Jacinda and Justin’s Engagement shoot was perfect we even got a few group shots in for family photos.

They are to be married in June at the Paradise Cove. The location is absolutely beautiful for any type of photos. Their wedding will be absolutely stunning. Trash the dress | Day after shoot

Did you not have enough time, or did you just want more creative photos at other locations other than your location of the reception or ceremony? Take a look at these photos done in Daytona Beach, and Ponce Inlet. We decided to use Bicycles and Pik-Nik baskets to make someting very creative and unique. Tiffany and Adam got married December 31st and This photo project is going to be used for a upcoming print advertisement for a wedding display. Need a Day after shoot for your wedding? I am proud to be the photographer for Rich and Michelle for their Engagement, and Wedding. Their Wedding is set for August in the Orlando area. This weekend we did their photos in ponce. The weather was perfect except for the bugs.. Millions of gnats. (note: It’s getting warm bring bug spray). Ok that being said, it still came out to be a fun filled shoot and lots of beautiful pictures. Here are some samples of the shoot!

Congrats to Rebecca and Guido – Spontaneous Wedding Photography does work!

Here’s the story, kinda funny! I received an email from Rebecca about 4 days before the wedding date requesting quotes. Since I have been doing work from a website for over 10 years, I get a lot of, “greetings, we are coming from UK to California, or Florida and want to retain your services” When you get these, usually they are looking to get your information, and no wedding is to be taking place. But Rebecca emailed me a quick email almost like that but enough to say hmm, is this real. However I called her back and left a voice mail. However Friday we sealed the sweet deal and got their photography services booked.

Their ceremony was a small private one in Ponce inlet, with mom, dad, Rebecca and Guido. Nonetheless the help from Lindsay Paid off being my ‘lighting technician’ and ‘Certified bag caddy’ (shes gonna kill me), Here are a little bit of their photos, and some of the fun we can have even doing brief, simple but elegant weddings for the to-be’s
