A warm welcome to Samantha and Robert, It feels nice to meet a couple that has interest in the photography that they came to me with a beautiful idea for a firehouse shoot after the wedding for the trash the dress session. We hit the typically beautiful Sugarmill Gardens up on their engagement shoot which as I always mention has a beautiful scenery no matter what or when.

The engagement photos done. Wedding set for May 1st 2011, and I’m ready to go. Im excited!

What a beautiful wedding with a lot of special hint’s! I came in a little bit early to set up my cameras since I got them back from nikon for a nice cleaning. Everything is reset when they take the. But during that time I was listening to the ladies talking and getting makeup done in the ladies locker/bridal room. I was brainstorming to get ideas for photos while I was setting the time. Today’s the day for Scott and Ashley’s wedding. They have been together for a good time and when they are around each other you can definitely see the connection between them.

Some of the cute details! The dedication of the application of the makeup by one of Ashley’s bridesmaid is absolutely photo worthy with the focus she has, I focus back. I decided to do the hearts in the bible with the shadows of the rings because when we work with light it becomes part of the photo. Their hearts combining today symbolize this so perfectly. Watching and capturing Ashley get her final touches on like the earrings, necklace and bracelet were telling me it’s about that time. One of Ashley’s favorite shots is when her flower girl was alone with the dress and looking up at it like a little princess. I’ll be saving that for an individual post soon!

I think the details are what make the best photos. It’s usually personalized, from the cake decor, custom bird houses for cards, or a small filled heart shape candle with the reason why they met. Ashley and Scott’s story is very sweet and the idea of them meeting because Curve cologne is her favorite is storytelling! I’ll leave that up to them to tell the story;) about that. Seeing the photos on the tables, and at the entrance were very special. I had a fun time with them on the engagement shoot in St. Augustine. We took a walk around and I followed them through the crowded streets. They used the photos at the wedding as a special touch for their guests to sign.

Scott’s gaze was determined and anticipating Ashley coming down that isle, and she came down beautiful and dad in hand. I always like Dad’s expressions but Scott’s heartbeat had to jump up a little. Mine did knowing it’s game time! I had to get the hands of the ring bearer and flower girl, it was too sweet. Everyone’s emotions were running high this day. It was well deserved there was a lot going on and dad was giving her daughter away, in great hands though. The ceremony was beautiful with lots of photos to show! I can’t believe this day was here. It came so quick from doing their engagement photos in St. Augustine!

Look at this! Such fun post ceremony shots. The drive to the golf hole was pretty fun, a little narrow cart path being followed by the best man and maid of honor:) We got them a couple of photos then off to the Bride and Groom’s post shoot. I wanted to feature the shoes as it fits their personality… who they are! The laying down shots were so cute and a little off traditional but not a speck of anything on the dress!:) That’s what makes the photos so very them!

The music was jammin and playin so well. The photos with them at the piano reflects the beautiful music they both play visibly to each other. Even in the “chicken dance” a special request for the family, you can see there’s just so much fun with them(below). This is what make’s them who they are! Such fun. Their guests joined in just as much as well! You can see the circle of them around the bride and groom almost all of the night!

The battle began with the boquet and garter toss. This shot of Scott is one of two, the first was a spoof and I am glad to be on this side of the camera!:-D

Finishing off the night with dancing, singing and some yummy cake! It was the best! Scott and Ashley were now off to their initial meeting place! They probably had a blast revisiting everything over again! The bubble exit was fun and the car was done up letting everyone know it’s their day! I wish them the best! They’ve been really great to be part of our photography family!

What a beautiful story to tell with photos!

Her Dress was out of the bag, set up ready to go. I placed it over the opening and started thinking of ideas. I took out the tilt shift lens and blurred the focus to the edges and a sharp center. Her bridesmaid was downstairs getting makeup and hair done, while Megan was snacking on some p-butter with crackers. It was the Brides turn in the chair and she started her makeup and hair journey to bride status. After that I headed over to Mike at the train car at the tavern. He was shining his shoes and getting things in order on his end. I snapped a few shots and headed over to Megan again knowing it was time for mom to zip up the dress.

The ceremony was beautiful, fun and very special to both. The unity candle was lit and they finished it off with the joining the flames. The shot was hi-lighting the texture of the extinguished flames was perfect. The bell rang, and the exit was lined with love, friends and family. and bubbles to wish them off. The time between was perfect for photos, the weather was perfect and the light just the same. Megan and Mike wanted to hit up the back side of the grounds for some photos so we headed over towards the gazebo.

Once everyone was in we had to hit up a shot of the chapel and all it’s beauty! A quick kiss and dip was perfect for that.

The night was fun, and lots of music was jamin’ with big daddy’s dj! The first dance, was so sweet! Garter and bouquet were tossed and a battle ensued over the catch.

Both the garter and bouquet were caught by an engaged couple next up on the list of to be wed’s! The hi-rise cake was topped with a top hat! What a fun idea. Cake sharing was nice and neat with no mess!

Scott and Ashley came dressed to impress for the photobooth, I can’t see what she’s seeing in the beer goggles, but Scott needed a haircut! Megan’s bridesmaid Mackenzie and Boyfriend Ryan were just out of the photo booth! The party continued for hours! I could have 10 more pages of fun dance photos but my page isn’t that long! Ending the night they had a fun carry into the Cottage! The night continued with some friend hanging and partying at the cottage for the rest of the night!

Congrats to Shelley and Troy, Their Engagement pictures at the gardens went very well! We spent a nice time walking around the park finding some locations for their portraits. Shelley and Troy had what seemed to be a fun time in the Garden. I always enjoy photos, family, weddings, engagements here in the Sugar Mill.

LOVE! No matter what. I love my job, and I hope the photos show that. There’s soo many ways to show love and these two know how. The gentle touch, holding hands, and just being around each other shows it. I can not wait for their wedding tonight. Currently we are on our way back from tampa with Brooke and Eunice’s wedding, and I am working on “social side” of the photography business. I get to blog for 3hours! But there is endless to write about. Photography in Daytona Beach can be difficult at times, but there are so many places to do engagement shoots that It doesn’t really bother me. WEddings are the same, each place has it’s own beauty. Tavern and the Chapel in the garden is their wedding location. I am excited to see Katie and Kellie again since they are so sweet! I wish there were more time in a day to read, But let’s look at pics! here’s a few.

Congrats To Renee and Jason for their Engement and upcoming Wedding – Mark Dickinson Central Florida Photographer

It was a fun 2 hours of discussing with Renee and Jason at our home office. I found a perfect idea of what they expect for their wedding. Beautiful photos! I am proud to be working with them as they were a lot of fun to talk to and really had some interesting ideas as well as input on the samples we had. Quality matters to them and explaining the full frame cameras it was understood. I really enjoy the full frame, and raw shooting since there is lots of room in the image for color and tone range. I will be shooting an Engagement session and Wedding for them. The wedding is set for the MOST popular of 2011, 11-11-11. I have 3 calls this past week for wedding quotes. The good thing is we have 4 assistants for shooting and Since I am dedicated to theirs. Our other photographers are available. I have room for 2 more weddings that day but may limit it to 1.

I like when couples seem very at ease with things, this is the way life should be so much is lost out on stress. It is nice to meet them and see they love to have fun! We have not introduced the Tilt Shift lens on some wedding events as long as they are away from the beach. It was a pleasure to meet with Kaley’s Mom and Dad last week. Their wedding is to be at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fl. We will be there to capture the beautiful event! Kaley’s dad stopped by today, (friday) and dropped off paperwork and chatted for a bit. It’s how we do things here! I can’t wait for their big day to come!

Kacie and Kevin’s wedding was a blast! We were so proud to be there with them, The amazement to me was how relaxed they were, stress free, beautiful day, beautiful ceremony, and photos matched that! We had a pre-family shoot in the beginning with Kacie and Kevin Which allowed us to get most of the family photos out of the way. We started at Grace United Methodist Church Near Flagler College.

The reception and festivities were held at the white room down the block! Kacie and Kevin had a fun time taking a drive in their Golf Carts Decorated by the men.
